One of the important paths you must go down in web development is creating linkages between design and implementation. Brackets is an HTML, CSS, and JavaScript editor developed by Adobe that goes down this path, offering tools that facilitate the process of creating web pages while improving the conversion between the graphic editor and its interpretation via the programming language being used.

This open source tool has a very straightforward interface with features such as automatic code detection and writing assistance, as well as bleeds and color-coding to identify segments. You can organize all the elements found in your project's workspace into a tree diagram integrating all the code files and the visual elements that make up the website you're creating.

One of the most interesting features is the dynamic preview mode, where you can open your project in the web browser to view the results of edits to the source code in real time. Also, its features can be enormously expanded through the use of third-party extensions. One of them, Extract for Brackets, comes preinstalled and allows you to export the format data from a PSD file from Photoshop, although to do this you have to sign up for an Adobe account.
